To understand the need behind religion we first need to understand the basic human behaviour. One of the most basic human nature is curiosity. Human feels the need to find the logic behind each and every thing and it is the biggest bane and boon of mankind. Boon as curiosity is one the main reasons behind the evolution of mankind. Bane as when we were not able to answer a question we tend to imagine the reason behind the thing it didn’t matter whether or not it is true. Thus according to me at a certain point in human history human become curious about the working of the world and they started to search the answers such as
Is there any power that runs the world? Is the power running the world resides on earth or is it far far away? What happens when we die? What is the purpose of life? and many such questions.
But unfortunately we were not able to find a proper answer and thus we started to explain this questions through our imagination. Thus according to me that was the starting point of the religion in human history. Different persons created different theories to answer the unanswerable questions thus creating different religion. I can give you many examples from different religions but I do not want to hurt the sentiments of any religion. Some theories succeeded some failed but one thing is for sure as we evolved so thus the religions which we follow.
So thus that mean God does not exist?
No I never meant to say that God does not exist. I myself believe in a superpower that runs the world but I do not believe in any religion.
So it’s up to you now what you think about Religion – A harsh reality or a beautiful imagination?
P.S. – So thus that mean following a religion is not fruitful or worth your time? The answer may surprise you “No”. following a religion is fruitful because it provides a thing that makes life worth living to know the answer stay connected and please wait for my next post.
